About Matri

A graduation ceremony where an elderly man in academic regalia shakes hands with a young girl, while a woman in a graduation cap and gown looks on happily.

Hi, I’m Jacqueline Wilf, founder of Matri. I developed the Matri coaching model during my graduate studies at Columbia University, grounding it in both academic rigor and lived experience as a mother, executive, and lifelong learner.

At Matri, we believe that motherhood is more than a role—it’s a profound transformation. As women move through the stages of matrescence, they often experience deep shifts in identity, values, and purpose. These changes can be both beautiful and disorienting—and they don’t have to be navigated alone.

Through Matri’s one-on-one and group coaching, I support women—including executive-level mothers—who are returning to work and seeking to integrate their evolving maternal identity with their professional lives. My approach is rooted in compassion, connection, and evidence-based practices drawn from positive psychology, transformational learning, and experiential growth.

Drawing on over a decade of leadership experience and advanced academic study, I’ve designed a coaching model that blends research-backed tools with real-world insight. Together, we cultivate essential inner resources—like resilience, gratitude, and self-compassion—so you don’t just cope with change, you thrive through it.

Whether through strengths-based coaching or community workshops, Matri offers a safe, supportive space for deep self-inquiry and personal growth. You’re invited to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with your values, goals, and authentic self.

My coaching isn’t about giving advice—it’s about asking powerful questions, holding space, and helping you access the wisdom you already hold. Using frameworks like the Aware-Explore-Apply model and the ORID process, we create clarity and momentum, step by step.

As a mother of two and an executive myself, I understand the tension between ambition and caregiving, between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming. That’s why Matri exists: to honor the full complexity of this transition and provide meaningful support at every stage.

Let’s build a future where thriving mothers become thriving leaders—at home, at work, and within themselves.
